How to change your VPS Remote Desktop password
In order to change your VPS Remote Desktop Password :
- Login to your Client Area
- Click on the Server or VPS that you want to change your password
- On VPS Managment Panel click on Change Password Tab
- Once you are ready, enter your password and confirm it. Make sure that strength indicator is in green area.
- Click on Save Changes and wait for page to reload.
- You are redirected to the same page but on Manage Tab. Now you should click on Restart Button and wait.
- You will see loading icon instead of restart button meaning that your command is executing, wait until confirmation.
- After the VPS Restart action is complete, you will receive a pop-up with the message :
The VPS was restarted successfully
- Wait for your VPS to boot up and change your password. This process may take up to 5 minutes.
- Try connecting to your VPS trough Remote Desktop Connection.
If you want you can track your VPS restart progress trough VNC Console.
Password must meet complexity requirements :
- Uppercase letters of European languages (A through Z, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters)
- Lowercase letters of European languages (a through z, sharp-s, with diacritic marks, Greek and Cyrillic characters)
- Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
- Non-alphanumeric characters (special characters): (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|\(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/) Currency symbols such as the Euro or British Pound are not counted as special characters for this policy setting.
- Any Unicode character that is categorized as an alphabetic character but is not uppercase or lowercase. This includes Unicode characters from Asian languages.
- Please don't use any bad password combinations like your email, pass123, 123456, mypassword, password that contails your name or nickname etc.
